How to get there
only a 5-minute walk from JR Osaki Station
Take this JR Yamanote line train, which has Irish Green as its symbol color. The line is one of the Tokyo's most important and convenient lines. It connects most major areas, including Tokyo, Hamamatsu-cho, Shinagawa, Osaki, Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro. The trains come every two or three minutes and every train stops at every station.
Each of the JR lines in Tokyo has a different symbol color such as orange for the Chuo line, yellow for Sobu line, and blue forthe Keihin-tohoku line. They all have stainless steel bodies of similar design but they are clearly differenciated by their colors. If you are not sure, check the face of the car. You wil see the name of the line indicated on its the forehead.
Get off the train at Osaki station.
You will see the station name sign like this, hung from the platform roof.
This is a typical sign that you will see in the every station in Tokyo. It shows the name of the station in the center and the stations immediately before and after it. The English indication is always a bit smaller than the Japanese, but you will surely be able to see it.
From the platform, go up the stairs. You will see the ticket gate like this. Go through it and turn right.
All stations in Tokyo have automatic gates like this.
This is what you will see next. Just go straight and then downstairs to get out of the station building.
After going downstairs, this is what you will see. Go straight along the street. The Shannons' pub is not far ahead.
After passing four traffic lights, you will see The Shannons' pub across the street (the lower building behind the cars in the photo).
Welcome to The Shannons'.
